NOW is a strength based course offered to women in a supportive environment. This course gives women self- confidence and positive self-esteem and provides the environment for all women to achieve their full potential. It is valued as a crucial stepping stone for women wishing to return to the workforce or further study, often after long absences for a variety of reasons. The course includes; Communication skills, Senior first aid, personal management, cookery skills, computer skills, work experience, Math, job search and study options, health issues for women.

This is a basic course designed to help participants in their preparation to gain access to the work force or further study. Three major areas of study are covered: Basic communication skills, OH&S and Prepare for work. Some learning activities will include: methods of communication used in the workplace (computer, telephone, fax), safety issues, rights and responsibilities of all involved in a workplace, job search skills, resume writing plus physical team building sessions. The course is presented in a friendly and interactive environment both in formal and informal settings aimed at gaining knowledge and confidence. It is designed to be appropriate for the participants with assistance available for those who may benefit from extra help.

Cert I - This is a course designed to help participants in the search for a traineeship or employment. Units Covered in this course are: Communicate in the workplace, Work effectively in a retail environment, Operate retail equipment, Perform routine housekeeping duties and Apply safe work practices. As much as possible participants gain knowledge and experience through practical activities. The course helps develop real life skills such as filling out forms, handling money and safety in the workplace.
