Welcome to the Jobs South West Community Services website

First Click

First Click - Male YouthJobs South West provides First Click and Second Click training.  This is a FREE service for people  from regional areas, seniors, women aged 40 to 54 not in employment, youth, people from low income households, people who are disabled, indigenous or people for whom English is not their first language.

The training offered through First Click and Second Click does not involve testing and training is delivered in a casual and friendly environment.  Each participant works on their own computer during the training process, groups are small to ensure individual attention is given to all participants.

The First Click grants program was established, as a result of a report, Bridging the Digital Divide (2001) to provide learning materials and community based grants aimed at people wanting to take their first steps towards computer literacy.

Participants in First Click training can expect to learn basic computer literacy skills, including how to operate a computer and how to use the internet and email.

Second Click was introduced in 2005 and offers people who have already acquired basic computer literacy skills the opportunity to extend their computer literacy skills training through on-line learning, or First Click - Senior Womanother agreed learning pathways.
