“Skills, Thrills and Chills” April 2008
The “Skills, Thrills and Chills” event was an enormous success with over 380 young people participating. The Mobile Youth Space was taken out to Boyup Brook District High School, Collie Senior High School and also the Bunbury “Max” games with the fatal vision goggles and various other road safety games and activities. The aim of the fatal vision goggles is to simulate or demonstrate how the visual impairment associated with consuming alcohol can result in devastating consequences for anyone who drives whilst impaired by alcohol and drugs. In addition to this students accessed a variety of games, sporting equipment and electronic equipment from the Mobile Youth Space Van. A sausage sizzle was held for all participants to enjoy.
