Cert I - This is an introductory course for those wanting to gain employment in the area of horticulture or to continue with further study. 6 units are covered in this course they are: Prepare for work, Support nursery work, Maintain the workplace, Support natural conservation, Support horticulture production, and Support gardening work. There will be various learning experiences including: nursery work, landscaping activities and gardening work. Assessments will be by observation and oral questioning.

This is a practical hands on course for those that enjoy working outdoors and with nature. Training is funded by Dept of Education & Training.

Cert II - A follow on course from Cert 1 although it is not a prerequisite. This area of study is for those who are seriously considering employment in the field of Horticulture or Landscaping. There are 4 compulsory units: Follow OHS procedures, Observe environmental work practices, Work effectively in the industry and Participate in workplace communications. 13 more specific elective units will also be completed. This course is based on gaining knowledge through practical activities with a limited written theory component.

A course for those who enjoy the outdoors and some physical activity. Training is funded by Dept of Education & Training.
