Dr Julie Owen, a Nurrunga woman from South Australia, is a teacher who also holds a Masters degree in Primary Health Care, a Phd in Aboriginal Health from the University of Western Australia and was a Fulbright Scholar in America in 2007. Dr Owen has taught in rural and remote settings around Australia and has also worked extensively in indigenous health promotion and management roles. Currently providing consultancy services to specialist youth providers in the South West of WA, Dr Owen has a truly amazing personal story to share.
